Flower sermon

The finger pointing to the moon is not the moon. 

The difference between the unborn, undying, latent energy/Buddha mind and its maniferstation through living things is reflected in the flower sutra in which the Buddha remains silent.

He holds up a lotus flower and says nothing.

Life in France

Today was a rare phenomenon these days. I have been on my own in the house France. On my own that is if you dont count the plumber who came to fix the burst pipe (a pleasant, quiet guy who found my difficulty at understanding his french or remembering words for pipes and valves amusing)

Mobile phone

I bought a mobile phone in 2005, which I only use when I am trying to meet up with someone.  

Last November I bought a new battery for it for £10 off the internet and then just recently when I tried to charge it the adapter/charger was not working.  I wondered if I was going to have to spend another £10 getting a new adapter charger.  But when Dean last visited he said he had seen a new mobile for £8.  So yesterday I when to Carphone Warehouse in the local Retail Park to see what my…
