Event Description

Volunteer Weeks

at

The Ranch of the Star

7th - 14th & 14th - 21st September 2019

25th April - 2nd May & 2nd – 9th May 2020

Join us in the Serra da Estrela Mountains in Portugal

Working on the land and doing some Eco-therapy.

We have 12 acres of mixed pasture and woodland in a beautiful mountain valley near Figueiro Da Serra. We are creating forest gardens to extend the edge of the woodland and we grow our own food. So we need help clearing, watering and planting.  Attend one or both weeks in either fortnight.

In return for your full board – 3 meals a day, we ask for 5 hours work per day/5 days a week. In addition we offer 1.5 hours of eco-therapy each day.

Accommodation is in dorm/double/single room. Food is mostly vegetarian.

We can take couples but numbers are limited to 6 people per week.

Not surprisingly many Western therapists tend to gravitate towards Buddhist ideas and, conversely, Buddhists are often interested in exploring how their faith…
