Working together for a better world...
Lunar Ecotherapy with Charlotte Venkatraman
October 29th 2.00-4.00
‘The moon is as ancient
As time itself
And still no older than a month.’
Whilst most of us are squeezed day to day into linear time for work, family or other demands, the timing of nature is cyclical. Early concepts of time were agricultural and seasonal; our ancestors watched buds spring up, grow to maturity, fade and die back into the earth, only to reappear again in spring. The sun came up in the morning, over our heads and underneath us, before reappearing at dawn. The moon appeared as a thin sliver, waxed to fullness, then faded into absence, to return again.
Over two hours, we will explore our associations to lunar time, learn a little tarot and some principles of nature magick. This will give us the opportunity to integrate our sense of spirituality with the natural rhythms of the land.
In preparation, please collect and bring to this seminar a few items from nature (2-5 small things) that make you think of the moon.
