KATE MACAIRT : CREATIVE PLAY THERAPIST, TRAINER,SUPERVISOR
Kate is an experienced PlayTherapist and child counsellor. Her background is in Expressive Arts Education and her interest in the significance of the creative instinct led her to research Creativity and its connection to well-being and academic achievement as part of a Masters in Education. Her journey led to the discovery of Play Therapy at which point she chose to re-train and moved from Creative Teacher to Creative Play Therapist. Kate’s passion and love of Mother Nature and spending time outside has infiltrated into her role as Teacher of Art and Play Therapist. Kate supports the Forest School and Outdoor Education movement and she also works for Circle of Life Rediscovery, North Devon Forest School, and together with Ali Chown has been a founder of the Collaboration of Outdoor Play Therapists. (COOPT). Under the umbrella name Creative Spark, founded in 2009, Kate provides Play Therapy, Training and Supervision. Her experience working with children of all ages is extensive, particular focus of Kate’s clinical practice has been in supporting children in the Looked After Child system.

Forums: This gathering of those interested in the cross-overs between Buddhism and therapists takes place every couple of months. We generally have a speaker or workshop facilitator. The content of session varies hugely but all are high quality events, suitable for professional as CPD.
