Event Description

Bodies of Energy - ways of integrating energy techniques with psychotherapy

Energy Psychotherapy is a significant development - a synthesis of psychotherapy and the family of Energy Psychology approaches. When we introduce Energy psychology techniques into our therapeutic practices we often find ourselves moving into a new paradigm in which intention and thought may effect material changes. We find here a new resonance with ancient spiritual teachings and many discover a new openness to the trans-personal.  In this presentation Judith will describe her personal journey in integrating these techniques through case study and demonstration.
Judith Anderson is a Jungian Psychotherapist with a background in mental health as a Consultant Psychiatrist. She has been using energy techniques in her practice for nearly a decade and teaches on the Converging Streams course run by the Energy Psychotherapy Network. Having chaired Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility for a number of years, she is now on the Executive Committee of Climate Psychology Alliance and runs their website.

Forums: This gathering of those interested in the cross-overs between Buddhism and therapists takes place every couple of months. We generally have a speaker or workshop facilitator. The content of session varies hugely but all are high quality events, suitable for professional as CPD.

This forum will be followed by a retreat on Sunday 14th May.

Grounded in Faith: Psychotherapy and Pureland - paper presented at European Shin Conference 2012

Grounded in Faith: Psychotherapy and Pureland

In the modern age, psychotherapy has become a route which many people choose to help them face and move beyond their personal suffering. Not surprisingly many Western therapists tend to gravitate towards Buddhist ideas and, conversely, Buddhists are often interested in exploring how their faith…

Running Tide Article

I wrote this article for Running Tide back in January but it didnt get published and as Running Tide has only just come out, things had obviously moved on. I'm putting it up here because it seems like a pity to waste a good article - or even a mediocre one!
