Finding Balance in Difficult Times
with Bob Chisholm
The world faces a number of serious threats such as climate change, terrorism and perpetual war. Yet the political systems that have been devised to deal with such threats seem only to make them worse. So how do we as individuals respond to these threats? Can we remain active and engaged as responsible citizens while keeping our composure and perhaps even being mindful of our moral and spiritual values? And as counsellors and psychotherapists, how can we help our clients deal with the emotional problems that are caused by stressful times?
These are just some of the questions that will be addressed in the November 19th Therapists Forum at the Buddhist House. The discussion will be led by Bob Chisholm, a counsellor and psychotherapist from Canterbury who has trained with the Tariki Trust.
This gathering of those interested in the cross-overs between Buddhism and therapists takes place every couple of months. We generally have a speaker or workshop facilitator. The content of session varies hugely but all are high quality events, suitable for professional as CPD.
Cost £25 including lunch (Tariki students £15)
